Ready, set, Go!

Our partners, Tree of Life in the Netherlands, sent a group of construction workers to Mitongwe to help us build the Health and Wellness Center. Prior to their arrival, they also arranged for two containers filled with building supplies, donated by local businesses, to be shipped over. Upon arrival, the team assisted with unloading the containers, using a specially designed device that they created, to efficiently offload the cargo from the truck. With the supplies at hand, the group began working on the construction of the Health and Wellness Center, working closely with our staff. Together, they accomplished a great deal and the building is well underway!

The builders have also begun constructing several new buildings. These include a long-term apartment complex for volunteers, a storage facility, and a workshop to facilitate our vocational training program.

Not far behind…

We are thrilled to announce that the Canadian Container is on its way and is due to arrive in Africa on July 1st. The impact of the goods in that container will be truly amazing. We are closely monitoring its progress, and we will let you know the moment it arrives.

After its arrival in Dar es Salaam, it will be transported by truck to our farm in Malawi.

Soccer Update

Our 24 coaches and their assistants start the week on the right foot with a Monday morning meeting. During these sessions, we focus on encouragement, training, and addressing challenges together, ending with a time of prayer. These meetings have been well-received and have contributed to the success of our program.

Exciting news! The soccer league for under-14 and under-16 boys and girls, in partnership with Team Up, is underway. With their coaches' guidance and support, the team practices twice a week, and the games are played on the weekends.

Here is an update from our coach, Emmanuel: "The weekend was filled with highlights, but the most exciting was seeing the kids not only enjoying their favourite game but also growing in their faith in God. It was also uplifting to remind the U-14 & 16 teams that winning or losing isn't the ultimate goal, but glorifying God's name and breaking free from the limitations of their communities."
